Crossing Generations

The Ekko rocking chair is made of carefully selected wood. A multitude of operations are required to shape each piece, and it takes over 47 hours per chair, from cutting to finishing, to make just one. The chair is available in two natural colors: black walnut, the most popular wood with customers, and cherry, a precious wood with a distinctive color. Its design focuses on two important elements: strength and ergonomics. Its headrest is stylized and its design, based on the Boston rocking chair, blends perfectly with modern or traditional décor. All components are designed to stand the test of time and do the job they are meant to do. The finish acts as a color and texture enhancer. From a comfort standpoint, the various components of this rocking chair are designed to follow the natural contours of the human body and provide enhanced support.

Designed and crafted in Canada by Max Poisson > Fine Furniture Maker.

How it’s made?

To achieve the perfect radius, the cradles of the EKKO rocking chair have to be laminated in a very precise way into jigs made by the cabinetmaker. Find out how it's done.
